Antonio Morillo

Antonio Morillo is a first-generation Cuban American born in Corral Springs, Florida. He received an Associate of Arts degree in Dance Performance from Valencia College and BFA in Dance Performance from the University of South Florida. He joined the company (then Verb Ballets) in 2016 has been featured in many works such as Richard Dickinson’s Four Last Songs, Gerald Arpino’s Light Rain, and Heinz Poll’s Bolero. In 2017, he was selected by the Martha Graham Company to choreograph and present at the Next@Graham Studio Series in NYC. He was also featured in a 2020 Pointe Magazine article about how his college experience jump-started his professional dance career. Morillo has performed as a guest artist with the Next Generation Ballet, Tampa City Ballet, and Hudson Conservatory of Ballet. He danced with the company on two international tours to Cuba and at the Gerald Arpino Centennial Celebration in Chicago in 2023. He retired from the company as a dancer in 2025, and is currently pursuing an MFA in Contemporary Dance from Case Western Reserve University. He is excited to step in as Ohio Contemporary Ballet’s Rehearsal Director for the summer!
