- A $10 late fee will be added to all tuition not paid by the 10th of each month.
- We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. There is a $25.00 fee for all NSF charges.
- An annual registration fee of $20.00 per student will be charged to your account and cover registration from August – July.
- Tuition is a flat monthly charge based on Fall, Winter/Spring and Summer Terms and is not prorated for scheduled holidays.
- Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance. Make-up classes are available and can be scheduled by emailing here.
- A minimum of 6 students must be registered for a class before instruction of that class can begin. Some exceptions and arrangements may be made by the Youth Academy Coordinator.
- There are no refunds and no adjustments made for missed classes, except for long periods of time with arrangements made in advance. Email requests to here.
If class is cancelled for any reason, a make-up class will be scheduled. If we are unable to provide a make-up class, then your account will be credited for the cancelled class. - The OCBallet Youth Academy reserves the right not to allow students to take classes when tuition is past due (not paid in full by the 10th of each month).
- Please provide written or emailed documentation should you decide to drop your dancer from any or all classes.
- Payment plans are available upon request by emailing here.
We offer discounts for enrolling in multiple classes. Monthly tuition is based on the total weekly class hours enrolled. To calculate monthly tuition for multiple classes, start by adding up the total number of class hours per week. Then, use the chart below to find the corresponding tuition rate. We also offer a 5% discount for siblings.
Monthly tuition cost based on total hours of classes a week enrolled
- 1 hr of classes a week = $72/month
- 1.5hrs of classes a week = $108/month
- 2hrs of classes a week = $128/month
- 3hrs of classes a week = $192/month
- 4hrs of classes a week = $224/month
- 5hrs of classes a week = $280/month
- Parents and other family members are permitted to observe classes during the first-class meeting of each month only. Allowing your child to have the teacher’s full attention creates an ideal learning environment. You will find that your child will retain classroom curriculum better and be less distracted during class time.
- If your child has special health needs, please discuss this with your instructor. If you have other questions or concerns regarding our parent observation policy, please discuss it with your instructor or us here.
- All Ballet 3-6 classes must wear uniforms. Visit our uniform section for more information here.
- In the winter months, dancers are permitted to wear dance sweaters, and leg warmers to class.
- Watches & jewelry must be removed before class. Small earrings are permitted.
- Long hair in a bun for ballet and low pony tails are allowed for Contemporary & Jazz. View full details in Hair Policy.
Grooming is a very important part of your dancer’s training. For Ballet, dancers with long hair must pull their hair off of face and neck and into a secure bun. If the class is early in the afternoon, we recommend that dancers go to school with their hair in a bun. Short hair must be neatly styled & pulled away from face. Ponytails are allowed for Contemporary and Jazz.
Private Lessons
OCBallet Youth Academy offers private, semi-private and small group private lessons for students enrolled in any dance genre; ballet, contemporary and hip-hop. Private instruction is a perfect opportunity to work one on one with your instructor or any of our teaching faculty. The private instructor will focus on the specific needs of each dancer and design the lesson just for them. Private instruction may be recommended as a supplement to move up to the next level.
For private, semi-private and small group private lesson pricing and information please contact us by email here.
