ProDanza

Verb Ballets has a partnership with ProDanza Center in Havana, Cuba. The center of the Cuban school of ballet technique was founded by Laura Alonso and is an offshoot of the specialized teaching department of the Ballet Nacional de Cuba.

The Breen Center for the Performing Arts

Saint Ignatius High School is pleased to continue working with Verb Ballets as dance company in residence at The Breen Center for Performing Arts. Saint Ignatius High School boasts three artist-in-residence programs at The Breen Center for the Performing Arts located in Ohio City.  These groups consider The Breen Center their home stage, allowing them to share their creative expertise with our students, the neighboring community as well as their own loyal audiences.

Fairmount Center for the Arts

Verb Ballets has been engaged as a consultant to coordinate the Dance Program at Fairmount Center for the Arts. The Fairmount Center Dance Theatre Program helps individual students ages 5-18 develop healthy, disciplined bodies, creative minds, and an in-depth knowledge and appreciate of dance as an art form. Verb Ballets will work to create a nurturing and concentrated environment where dancers are encouraged to explore their potential as artists. The dancers of Verb Ballets are also instructors for dance classes.

John Carroll University

Verb Ballets is pleased to continue its partnership with John Carroll University. Adjunct instructor Desmond Davis delivers a course designed to develop efficiency of movement, combined with an understanding of basic movement principles and an appreciation for dance. In addition to learning basic elements of dance, Verb Ballets brings the company to campus or students into the studio to offer a day of exposure into the life of a professional company. Verb Ballets also offers the university students discounted tickets to Verb Ballets performances.  This outreach program supports Verb’s goal to cultivate dance appreciation and to foster a new generation of theater-goers.

Hiram College

Verb Ballets is pleased to continue its partnership with Hiram College. Adjunct instructor Desmond Davis delivers a course designed to be an introduction to the ART of dance through creative movement and diverse mediums such as ballet, modern, improvisation and jazz.  Students create and perform movement studies in groups and as individuals, based on learned vocabulary. This outreach program supports Verb’s goal to cultivate dance appreciation and to foster a new generation of theater-goers.
