Company member Antonio Morillo was interviewed by Pointe Magazine about his path to pursuing a dance career. He initially started college studying vocal performance at Seminole State College and then musical theater at Point Park University. There, a pivotal class taught by a former Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre dancer helped him realize that he wanted to shift his focus to ballet. During his senior year at the University of South Florida, he was offered a contract with Verb Ballets in 2017 and finished his degree remotely. Antonio has also choreographed for the company and is a teacher in our community program. We are so pleased that his hard work has been recognized.

Antonio joined Verb Ballets in 2016 and has been featured in works such as Andante Sostenuto and Aposiopesis. He has also choreographed five works for Verb Ballets including a work selected by the Martha Graham company that premiered in NYC on the Next@Graham series in 2017 and a dance film with rock guitarist, Neil Zaza.
