Company member Daniel Cho wrote an article for Dance Magazine about pursuing ballet as a first generation Korean American. Born and raised in San Francisco, California, he didn’t begin to study ballet until he was 20 years old. He attributes his ability to pursue a career in dance to the educational opportunities his parents provided, as well as the remarkable work ethic he credits to his Korean culture. Daniel received his training from Point Park Conservatory, the Laban Conservatoire in London, the Ballet X Summer Intensive, the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance and the Coastal City Ballet in Vancouver. He is a recent graduate of the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training program and joined Verb Ballets in 2018. We are so pleased that his hard work has been recognized.
